The American Original Series guitars from Fender capture the classic vibe of their legendary guitars of bygone decades, with modern features, components, build technology, and feel. Pick up an American Original '50s Stratocaster and you will instantly experience why the Strat was such a hit with guitarists when it first appeared way back in 1954. In fact, apart from a few modern refinements, you'd be hard-pressed to tell it from a classic '59. With a gloss, nitrocellulose finished body of alder, and the classic 1950's soft V neck profile combined with a modern 9.5-inch radiused fretboard (increased from the original 7.25") with vintage style tall frets, it's equally comfortable for soloing or rhythm playing. A trio of Pure Vintage '59 single-coil pickups are as historically authentic as possible, including cloth-covered wires, fibre bobbins and alnico V magnets and are wax potted to control feedback and wired through a modern 5-way switch. Vintage-style tuners and a classic 6-point synchronized tremolo bridge complete the 50's look and feel.
